IMAGE TRANSFER - SENDING US A CASE

As of April 2022, our process has changed. To better serve our clients and patients, we have moved all image storage and reporting to Ambra, a cloud-based PACS that is commonly used in human medicine. This allows us to access images from any browser and also gives our clients a centralized portal to view all of their past cases and reports.

Before we can read your case, we need to create an Ambra account for your clinic and work with you or your IT team to set up the DICOM address on your MRI or CT. You will get login credentials to your own portal where you can view past cases and reports. To get started, we will need some basic information. This process can usually be completed within 24 hours and we can temporarily provide you with an open DICOM server or Dropbox folder if the request for your first case is urgent.

If you are ready to get started, please fill out the form below.

TURNAROUND TIME
  • Next day after we receive the patient information and study images
  • Report delivered to your Ambra portal and a notification by email
  • STAT/ Emergency cases will get an immediate phone call from us, as well as the formal report by next day

PROTOCOLS & Image Guides

MRI protocols are specific to animals, and as a client of MRI Vets, you will be given access to this proprietary information. We consider these protocols the most productive sequences for eliminating unnecessary scans and prolonged anesthesia time for patients.

Therefore we request that our small animal scanning protocols be followed, as we have had several experiences where the MRI operator was unfamiliar with animal scanning and tried to adapt human protocols for animals, resulting in non-diagnostic studies, much to the frustration of the client and clinician.

Please visit our
MRI Vets Community page to access articles about MRI sequences, positioning, and our MRiPedia archive of past cases.
